Claude Fable helped me prove a conjecture of mine from 2006. Yesterday I was 90% convinced that the proof was correct. Today I am 100% convinced.

When I was a kid, audio cassettes (often called simply "tapes") were big. They were small and easy to play on portable devices. Their big defect was the tape would often unspool and jam. You'd have to straighten it out and then tighten the spool with a pencil.

Reducing my caffeine intake for the nth time, lol. I quit a couple of years ago, and felt really good after about a week, but somehow managed to relapse. I just got a smartwatch which found I was lacking in deep sleep, so I am seeing if caffeine is the culprit. Caffeine withdrawal is brutal.

Reading The Handmaid's Tale for the first time, which I got from my Mom's bookshelves. Atwood is a brilliant author. I had previously read the Oryx and Crake trilogy, which was compelling post-apocalyptic fiction.
I never got into cyberpunk back in the day. I've since read Snowcrash, which I didn't particularly like [I've enjoyed other Neal Stephenson novels though], and the first book in Tad Williams's Otherland series, which I found so insipid that I didn't read the rest of the series.
