If you want to be a working professional, you have to learn perspective. I can’t tell you the number of storyboard portfolios I’ve looked at with weak or nonexistent perspective. It’s one of the dead giveaways you’re not ready.

Is the game you played most this year (assuming it came out this year) the game you want to win GOTY? For me, it’s not. And that feels right? I played Nightreign far more than any other game but I want Expedition 33 to win. Which is worth discussion.
