Idk to blame 1Password or macOS, but pretty regularly the emoji picker on macOS just ceases to show up until you quit 1pw (maybe because it left secure keyboard entry on or something?).
Is it still true that over a year after they removed the APIs for exporting images, you still cannot properly backup/export out of Google Photos? Google Takeout does not provide original quality OR shared albums. issuetracker.google.com/issues/36877...

ICE is engaged in a very large escalation nationwide, with the agency claiming to be hitting record arrest numbers amid the return of quotas. This has gotten very little attention from the media because ICE learned lessons from the chaotic disasters of Kristi Noem’s tenure. Keep a watch.
ICE is surging in the Seattle area. (Map shows activity in the last week) Do you have your whistle with you?
this is the week that americans learn the country isn't just called "bosnia"

“San Francisco went from being a pioneer in responsible ways of controlling surveillance and protecting people’s privacy to one of the most surveilled cities in the country with very few guardrails, in just a few short years,” EFF’s @mguariglia.bsky.social told Xpress magazine.
Surveillance City: How SF’s Prop E Has Impacted Local Communities
On May 30, 2020, thousands of peaceful protesters filled the streets of San Francisco following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. That night, shortly before 9 p.m., a group...

mind is blown that `actions/setup-go` doesn't default to using the go version in the `go.mod`. even if you argued changing to this behavior was a breaking change, it's not like people's go.mods are going to be wrong?
another day, another frustrating limitation of gmail: why can't you make filters based on any header?
I am happy to share a little thing we have been cooking up: github.com/agent-substr... Problem statement: How can we effectively host a bazillion mostly-idle agents in a regular-sized Kubernetes cluster? This is *demo-grade* software, but it shows some ideas.

My travel this week: TPE ✈️ SFO ✈️ EWR ✈️ SFO ✈️ LAX NEVER again!!
Someone reminded me today: everyone I know that's used Auth0 (probably other IDPs too) experiences an outage when fetching user metadata hits their ratelimit. You end up caching/storing this in your own db anyway.
TIL a neato trick when I hit a flake with a gh package (with GH instability might be a more and more common). Once you've kicked off a gh workflow and one of the workflows in that workflow flakes, you have to wait for the entire workflow to finish before you can select re-run failed jobs.
if it's got low adoption, make it the default.
“The low adoption likely has nothing to do with what people want or even expect," EFF’s @thorinklosowski.com told @techradar.com. "Our messages should be protected with end-to-end encryption without requiring us to opt into the feature.” www.techradar.com/vpn/vpn-pri...
