Hard to overstate how angry Canadians are at Trump over these ridiculous tariffs. The United States has emitted the most carbon pollution in world history. It has caused these climate-driven wildfires. Oh and American air pollution routinely drifts into Canada. What utter bullshit.

The article is misleading at best. That's not at all what I said. I said the rules for public hearings prohibit discriminatory arguments based on income. For example, it's not acceptable to argue against a development because "only poor people will live there."

Like I said, there's no small amount of finger-pointing that's going to happen as a result of this. But Platner was a creation of Ryan Grim, Bernie Sanders, and Matt Stoller, as much as he was of Pod Save America and Matt Yglesias. That's what has to be reckoned with.
