RefUK, RW media, & Eurofash are plainly trying to whip up a panic about this. Any serious report must begin by explaining that Ceuta is in Africa - not mainland Spain - and 48k+ of the 50k crossers were already returned. It is frightening how many still don't know this. Please share on all socials.

At least 57 people died during the surge, according to local media."Daily Mail and Daily Express from this weekend, with front page headlines "Ministers MUST stop the Spanish border invaders reaching UK" and "SPANISH BORDER CRISIS IS 'WAKE-UP CALL' FOR UK", respectively.

Dead or alive, Mitch McConnell is on extended medical leave — on your dime. This is the same Mitch McConnell who voted against: paid family and medical leave for everyone else.

++BREAKING++ The Daily Telegraph has... *rubs eyes* ...published something sensible about climate change: "I’m coming to the view that the Online Right is going wrong, eschewing compassion or charm, talking itself into corners of angry irrelevance. Take climate change."

End of tour. Orchestral concert with Stacey Kent and the Progress Orchestra under the direction of Szymon Morus at the Ladies’ Jazz Festival in Gdynia. A fun way to end a run of fun dates.

Normally, I would write about last night's shameful display of the legacy media fêting Donald Trump. But with only 101 days until the elections, they are a lost cause. If you want to stay informed about Trump's attacks and how we fight back, subscribe to Democracy Docket. demdock.com/4w6emld

It’s the first of two concerts in Gdynia tonight. This one is the 4tet and Sunday is playing our orchestral book. A beautiful way to round out the summer tour. And as a bonus, Poland still has hole-in-the-wall shops where craftspeople fix things including analogue watches!

We are leaving Berlin for Gdynia after last night’s Stacey Kent concert at the ZigZag Festival. Great venue and people. The cherry on top of the cake was Benny the Chihuahua/Dachshund who ride with us back to the hotel after the show.

I'm just putting the finishing touches to my new YouTube channel 'Ben Finlay - The History Man' which launches tomorrow. The first video will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the release of the Blues Breakers album by John Mayall with Eric Clapton. More details to follow... #musicsky

Hamburg is one of my favourite cities and so to have 2 nights here with Stacey Kent, Art Hirahara and Tom Hubbard at Nica Jazz Club is luxury. Tonight’s our last night. Next stop Berlin.

“They’re only wanting a unified church and state that agrees with them...the best Christian witness is one that works towards the common good.” Bishop Mariann Budde, who confronted Trump at the start of his term, challenges the administration’s idea to end church-state separation.

Finishing up a lovely few days in London. Two concerts at Cadogan Hall, seeing friends, walking the streets and parks (I love how Hyde Park is being reworded in places) and visit to Robert Elms’ show on BBC Radio London. It was great to be back. Next stop Hamburg.

This is Colorado GOP nominee for Governor, Victor Marx, claiming that he can exorcise demons over the phone "like Jesus did and banish the demons." (So, he thinks he's like Jesus. Wow, just wow...)
