I was back in Immigration Court this week, this time for the hearing of a sweet little three-year-old girl, I’ll call her Estrella. She’s been in federal custody, separated from her family for more than 10 months – even though her mom lives here in NYC. The cruelty is truly mind-boggling. 🧵

Mamdani's speech at the Knicks parade was easily the best I've ever heard at an event of that sort. I posted the whole thing on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Highly recommended.

The syllabus of this case does an excellent job of making the reader ask "huh? are we really deciding constitutional gun rights based on how much beer early Americans drank?" The historical interpretation approach sounds so much more sensible in the abstract than when you read the actual analysis.
