I’m seeing coverage of Typhoon Sinlaku only highlighting Guam. A reminder that the storm shifted and is now passing the Northern Mariana Islands, a separate U.S. territory just north of Guam. Specifically, the eye of the storm will track close, if not over, the islands of Saipan and Tinian.

After a mostly dry Thanksgiving across the U.S., forecasters say a storm bringing heavy snow, sleet, freezing rain and blizzard conditions could lead to “severe travel disruptions” for the Northern Plains, Upper Midwest and Great Lakes from Friday through the weekend.

Some of Manhattan's most iconic spots would be submerged, including parts of Chinatown, SoHo and the financial district. Several feet of water would pool in the theater district and areas near MSG. In the Bronx, Yankee Stadium would be nearly surrounded by water, up to 11 feet in places.
