It’s the size of a major airport with a dedicated power feed from a nuclear power plant. It’s ugly, huge, surrounded by 10+ft fencing. It backs up to farms, homes, woods. Duke installed new turbine ~2023. Now we know why.

Mark Chadbourn@chadbourn.bsky.social · 2w agoThis is (relatively) good news. Brazilian President Lula’s pledge to protect the Amazon appears to have paid off. In 2025 the smallest amount was burned in 40 years. It’s still a tragedy that any of it is getting burned, but this is real progress.
Really enjoying the cup final, glad Spain won, I was rooting for the EU, great shots of the players, vanquished and winners all, just a great spectacle.... And then I remember what's coming in a few minutes. Ugh. Spoils everything every time.

You would think a current spouse and partner of many years would be bedside adjacent to "be there". Unless of course it's a matter of life-support and a switch and the when is yet to be ordained.
