Basically feminism for the past 250 years has been a struggle to establish that women are people endowed with certain inalienable rights, and among those rights are life, liberty, and bodily autonomy.

I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them." That's not the case, for any number of possible reasons.

Lines of academy cadets, one in command red seated but at attention while in a wheelchair.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up. I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

With Boundless winding up, the rights revert back to me. The book is complete (and has been for a year and a day now!), and I think it's quite fun. I will try to see if I can get a publisher's interest in the project. (If you know anybody, let me know 😁).
