Francie doesn't like coffee ice-cream (he/him).

Watching a youtube video about how no influencers have any actual money and just fake it, and it had the words 'Jason Nash, who we all remember from David Dobrik's Blog Squad'. What. Who. We do not all remember. What are you talking about. Whomst are these individuals.

People who scream about em dashes automatically exposing generative AI use are silly and incurious and don't understand how writing or AI training work BUT when I see them from someone writing in UK English – which effectively does not use the em dash at all – I do get mighty suspicious.

right, ok, enough self-pity, I need to turn my shit pub around. it's in Stratford, it's got a (small) stage, there has to be someone who has something cool they want a space for queer-run, extremely diverse venue (we even let mumbling old white geezers in) what I'd call 'mostly accessible'

I have never seen such an abject display of outright heterosexuality as this column. (It's a very weird thing about The Present Moment that silly harmless bullshit that should be in a blog gets put into newspapers and gains a lot more 'weight' than it should, with commensurately serious responses).

I genuinely couldn't tell you how this song goes. I'm sure I've heard it at some point but I certainly don't know the words and the dance. I know Somebody Told Me, if that helps? www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

This is not cat related, but I discovered an odd bit of widespread history misinformation today. I saw a story about a very cool lady named Margaret E. Knight who was a brilliant inventor. The problem is that she was born in 1838 and this is the photo of her used in nearly every story I found.

grainy black and white photo of a woman with short, dark, curly hair, smiling at the camera, wearing a draped white blouse.

Apologies if this wasn't an actual question but I reckon it was partly the AI saying 'Wow! Great question! Let's delve deeper' and a bigger partly the exhiliration of 'omg! I'm getting so much done!' without realising he was turning into the I Love Lucy episode with the conveyor belt.

Another thought: in his statement, Hank Green expressed quite a lot of shame about the "dopamine hit" he gets from using AI. As a non-AI user I don't really know what he's referring to here. Is the AI voice flattering him while also doing his job (presumably poorly)? Because that's big weird.

My office has moved so now it's a mile each way to the little Asian supermarket, which is fine, a mile is nothing but it's a *bit* further than I want to do on a lunch break, and when I got there they didn't have Healthy Boy Brand Seafood Dipping Sauce OR Lee Kum Kee Sauce For Dumplings. Day ruined.

Johnny Baby's Fifa Disaster is so funny. Just so blatantly, *screamingly* corrupt. 'Hi gusy. If you let me sell the World Cup to a Kushner, I'll give you $40m. It's in the best interests of football.' Just cos you're in Trump's disgusting milieu, doesn't mean his immunity to consequences transfers.
