Mark Carney, February 2026: "Let's build a more cooperative, resilient world together. Canada is ready." Mark Carney, also February 2026: "Let's cut 15% of the department responsible for Canada’s environmental policies, including advisors to cooperation programs around the Arctic."

. Great job by WH/EPA press team that worked this piece. Finally some sanity 👉 “For now, free-market-driven innovation has done more to combat climate change than regulatory power grabs like the “endangerment finding” ever did.”

Once again, governments have failed to reach agreement on a treaty to reduce plastics pollution. The US, Russia, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries would not accept a deal that limitied plastic production. Others chose no deal over their bad deal. www.climatechangenews.com/2025/08/15/p...

Plastics treaty talks collapse without a deal after "chaotic" negotiations

UN talks ran into overtime, ending with a standoff over whether a treaty should include curbs on plastic production and the way forward unclear

The EU doesn't buy any energy and no intention to. Private companies based in EU countries do. So a European Commission promise to buy US energy isn't worth much, is it? But it allows Trump to tell his voters and fossil fuel financial backers that he got the EU to buy US gas.

Wow, Hard not to see Trump as power playing Europeans into total submission ie protection racket -15% tariffs on most goods (like Japan) - EU buys $750 BILLION of US energy (how much LNG?) - EU Invests $600 BILLION in strategic areas (vaporware?) - Purchases US weapons bloomberg.com/news/article...
