There is no better ‘walk back to the hotel where you’re not sure where it is and you’re drunk and alone’ artist than Björk.

Farewell today to the high priestess of polka dots, Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (1929-2026). Her work was unforgettable and for her, a means to survival. It’s playful, psychedelic, compulsive, beautiful and slightly unsettling all at once. Into infinity and beyond Yayoi! 🔴🟡⚫️

Who Killed Jason Arday?
Earlier this afternoon, my oldest boyhood friend, a distinguished international lawyer who received his doctorate at Cambridge, called me to share the tragic news that Jason Arday, the Black British a...

Re Jason Arday I hope a lot of people feel utterly fucking ashamed of themselves.
Most overrated artist of our times. Competent execution of facile, lower-sixth-level, quasi-agitprop. There are literally thousands of better graffiti and street artists. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

“The Odyssey features his usual combination of grandiosity and superficiality... the film's vision is too confused, its characters too underdeveloped, to deliver what it half-promises in terms of big ideas” Critique also of Nolan’s entire career lol.
Oh did a female academic with an extensive history of study and practice in a particular area of literature make a reasoned critique of a male filmmaker’s movie? I’m sure this will be handled with maximum normality.
Listened to this yesterday - it was great. Reminds me that Games Workshop is a genuine UK success story both culturally and financially, yet doesn't get the praise it deserves Someone needs to do a Tetris or Air style film of it's story.
In 1975, three men in a grotty London flat started a games company. It brought D&D to the UK, then redefined wargaming. This week on Untitled History Podcast, it's the history of Games Workshop with @jordansorcery.bsky.social. On Youtube or your pod app of choice! open.spotify.com/episode/3iSn...
Path To Glory from last night - my warband, the Apophenic Paradox, line up for a pitched battle against Tzeentchian rivals
Still working on this Path To Glory Tzeentch warband. Very much not as planned, as it needs to be ready for Monday evening. The logic with the Stormcast is that because they are inspired by space marines which were in turn inspired by chaos warriors, they are already essentially chaos warriors.
Putting together a classic early 2000s Path To Glory warband - basically using a load of random minis I’ve picked up that I don’t have an army for. Oddly, I reckon Stormcast actually make kinda good Tzeentch chaos warriors, like they’re silver golems or something.
Five minutes on LinkedIn and I’m already moving from ‘getting my affairs in order’ to ‘before turning the gun on himself’. Still *somehow* the worst social network.
Fairly obviously I’d have thought: Betrayer, and Kharn. Less obviously, Master of Mankind and Arkhan Land

Seeing a Boromir pen holder (yes, post him getting shot by Lurtz) and my first thought being that it still holds more pens than Faramir could.
Working on redoing my small Harlequins army for 11th ed inspired by @roguehobbies.bsky.social amazing colour forge synthwave rattlecan cheat code. I reckon basing, picking out some weapons and the odd detail (mask), a nice wash and they’ll be set for the tabletop. Who says quins are hard to paint? 💠
