Spent hundreds of pounds on scratch building a Genestealer Cults Cult Limousine but I forgot to add a driver. All the money and nothing to chauffeur it.

Prolific Warhammer miniature painter who can’t pick a colour scheme, reads lots, puns too much, moderates Twitch/YouTube chats, oft found contributing to Warhammer Community articles. Recovering agoraphobic. (He/him) https://vincentknotley.wordpress.com
I don’t mean to alarm anybody, but I might actually have painted miniatures finished to post in a couple of days.
Hey folks, hoping I can call on the community to report this channel for impersonation. They've just straight up stolen my videos and slapped an AI logo onto it all. youtube.com/@theoculusim...
Watch The Odyssey on iMacs, they said. It’ll be fun, they said
There is a direct correlation between when I have an opportunity to get some painting done to make guides/schemes and when it decides to get supremely humid and warm. I do not appreciate it.
Serpents may not have legs, but in this week’s Rumour Engine they’ve got wings. www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articl...
Imagine having to spend money on a machine destroying the environment to tell you what your opinion on a thing is. At least Skynet had the decency to fight us for dominance over the course of 6 movies, 2 series of a TV season, and numerous comics and games.
The desperation and compounding agony at the end of The Mist is still, without question, my favourite movie ending. The withered, bitter cherry atop a hopeless sundae of grief and despair. Perfect.
This month marks 8 years moderating Warhammer livestreams through the before times, the COVID daily sometimes double day streams and previews and Warhammer Open events across both Twitch and YouTube. Here’s to 8 more! Shout out to an awesome community which makes each hour as moderati awesome.
Downplay a book or movie Stumble of Cadia.
Downplay a book or movie Irritated Max
Spent half a dozen hours painting. The muscle for it needs to kick back kn after not being able to for ages (okay like 7 days but I usually do it daily). Almost got an almost finished unit from a couple of weeks ago done too! Might actually get them posted this week. Here’s a penguin tax.
Next weekend’s Warhammer pre-orders see the Lord on Chaos Dragon join Warhammer The Old World alongside Battle March boxes for Cathay and Chaos as well as a trio of bigs for Blood Bowl. www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articl...
Lords of Silence audiobook on the go. Hundreds of scales to be individually highlighted. Freshly opened can of Monster at my side. Paintbrush in my hand. I've needed this so much.
Saw one of those quote your most popular post on Bluesky things a day or two ago. Can’t find one in my feed. Anyway I think mine was these nine Red Corsairs Raiders. I’ll finish the second unit leader one day.

Found an hour to paint today for the first time in a week after a long hospital visit. That felt good. That felt so very good. Here’s hoping there’ll be a lot more in what may very well be an actual day to myself tomorrow.
Got smacked with a surprisingly thick book in the head by someone suffering dementia on a geriatric and stroke ward after I helped to find his book because he thought I’d stolen it off him. How’s your Saturday going?
One of the strange things my father's delirium has brought out (it shouldn't last, but man is it scary to see) is a whole heap of history about his and my mother's lives I NEVER knew. Today I learned my mother used to make dresses. Good dresses. Beautiful dresses. WHY AM I ONLY LEARNING THIS NOW!
THE WICKED AND THE WARPED is available to pre-order on Kindle, which means we get back text! Get on the barge loser, we’re going to the Rift. (Calm down, Orikan, I’m sure what happened to the Lost Expedition won’t happen to *us*...) www.amazon.com/Wicked-Warpe...
Here to investigate your questionable background theories and hot takes. Lore & Order.

Becsuse there’s something undefinably satisfying about rocking up to a game with an army in all different schemes. And they were totally new when I painted them, so working out how each scheme was going to fit on each model and where colours would go took a lot of well-worthwhile time.
It isn't yet the end of the week, but who doesn't want some more good vibes around the place? Do me a little favour! Quote this post with something you've painted that you're proud of, or you just really like. Doesn't have to be your best, just something that makes you smile when you see it!
May the drinking straw of anyone who has ever wronged you be too short for their cup.
I need to paint a lot right now. A: it’s kind of why most of you are here and B: it’s how I cope with my anxiety and stressful situations. Right now. Stress. Haven’t even touched a brush (haven’t had a chance properly) since Friday between seeing dad in hospital and then being there for mum.
August’s Warhammer Miniature of the Month is a Warhammer 40,000 Ork. www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articl... How will you paint your Ork? Not sure? Here’s a bunch of colour schemes from my hobby desk to give you ideas!
My brain body and soul are still fried. Tried to paint. Filed miserably. But seeing everyone’s minis when I come to flick through socials to recharge my brain battery? That’s been a massive help. Keep painting!
