CBC posted this video recently, and since it’s warm in Vancouver this week, it’s good advice if you don’t have A/C, especially at night. It’s a method my Dad drilled into me as a kid, and I still use it to this day. youtu.be/4BLfYtE4Kow

Went for a beautiful morning walk today in the West End. Turns out, so did Max Crepeau, Liam Miller, and a couple of other guys from the CANMNT.
I’ve seen some online chatter asking, “What is Vancouver getting out of hosting the World Cup in terms of legacy infrastructure?” I would be more than happy for it to be this.
It’s not just about banning cars on “pedestrian streets” — it’s about filling the space usually surrendered to cars with magnetic people-places FULL of things that attract people & make them want to stay. Vancouver hasn’t been great at such transformations. The World Cup NEEDS to be a turning point.
BIG NEWS! I wrote a book with @johnleewriter.bsky.social and it’s on store shelves JUNE 23rd. We’re excited to share #FREECOUVER with you and spotlight 101 free things to do in and around Vancouver. It’s a very timely guidebook and we had such fun writing it 🇨🇦 📚 #Booksky Pre-order today:

This has been the GOP's "starve-the-beast" scheme for nearly 50 years. Meanwhile, millions suffer and struggle to get ahead as the rich get richer. See the problem here?

HOLY SHIT. A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election. Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

Who’s giving the mayor the advice to keep this very damaging (for him) issue on the front burner for another day? Was it his initiative? Vancouver politics is weird but this is terrible strategically, especially considering he took only a handful of questions www.ctvnews.ca/vancouver/ar...

Not the same guy, you brick-brained clown. The one who came to power in 1979 died 10 years later in ‘89.
Mullin: We are not wanting regime change, but the person that's leading this effort is the ayatollah. Remember in 1979, when he came to power, he was saying that he wanted to be a nuclear Iran
Last week, we traveled to Whitehorse, Yukon to celebrate our 20th anniversary of getting married, and it was amazing. We chased the aurora, explored the town, and enjoyed the brutal beauty of subarctic Canada. I can’t imagine life without @miss604.com & am grateful for the one we’ve lived so far ❤️
It’s not the tariffs. It’s this rhetoric about our sovereignty that makes Canadians, like me, never want to step foot in the United States, where I was born. It’s egregious and embarrassing. These people just find a way to ruin everything.
Van Orden: "If Canada had taken Donald Trump up on his offer to become the 51st state, the Canadians would've had gold also"
Such an amazing experience. Found a seat to just stare at the amazing dome of stars when the aurora just came alive. Found a steady system of running back to the fire pit or cabin to warm up and go back out to see more. Gorgeous!
10/10 #aurora experience last night, out in -25C until 2am was totally worth it. Local tour company has huts, fire pits, and an amazing private viewing site in the woods. Can’t wait to go through all my pics. 💜 Dreamy night with @johnbollwitt.com #yukon #travel #canada
This was so unsafe and ignorant of anyone else using Rawlings Trail. Several dozen groups of riders seemingly doing a circuit to Bridal and back up North Creek. One rider came around a blind corner and just missed us, shy of crashing into the bush. It’s a park trail. Not a cyclocross course
Dear Stanley Park Cyclist ⚠️ SLOWDOWN ⚠️ We almost got bowled over a dozen times on one trail today. Some very near misses. Groups going SO FAST like it was a velodrome. I feared for the toddlers, seniors, dog-walkers also on path. @lucymaloney.bsky.social @parkboardscott.bsky.social
Hey, it's #BandcampFriday! 🤘 100% of what you purchase on bandcamp.com goes to the artist. 👍👍👍 Will follow-up to this post later with some of my pickups from today.
