Almost Acoustic at Rebellion Punk festival in Blackpool next Saturday- onstage at 6.30 p.m. when I'll be playing a set of brand new songs about the Brighton punk scene in 1977 #rebellion
Really enjoying drummer Richard Spaven’s recent album ‘Light of Day’. Beats, trumpet, flute, keyboards, bass all combine in a jazz and electronica infused set (with rapping on one track) that is classy throughout but never showy.
Next batch of home-grown spuds - Sharpe’s Express. From garden to plate in hours. Served with pan-fried duck and some baked sprouts (and a nice Pinot Noir). Gorgeous.

This is on BBC Four tonight at 8pm. Don’t miss.
John Wilson and the fabulous Sinfonia of London never disappoint and tonight’s BBC Proms concert was no exception. Wonderful Walton’s Cello Concerto with Jonathan Aasgaard and the final Respighi section was just glorious.
