RFKJr claims Lyme disease was created by scientists, which is the closest he’s come to admitting that science exists. Meanwhile, Ötzi the Iceman, who died more than 5.3K years ago, had Lyme disease. Apparently prehistoric humans are part of the conspiracy. Get me off this timeline

Brexit supporters really are scummy people
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
Trump is such a pathetic individual- empowered and admired by even more pathetic , tragically little people.
“Trump presumably assumed the BBC, like other entities he has brought suits against, would simply fold. But the BBC said no,” writes The Empty City
I'm not qualified to judge whether such people are psychopaths. All I can say is that they behave as if they are. From today's Telegraph.
Reform UK and Nigel Farage are now so knee deep in scandal and investigations, their attempts to deflect and divert are failing. They’re running out of faux outrage.
Brexit was always clearly a Putin foreign policy objective Farage was always and remains a paid Russian asset to achieve that objective and work to further the damage of Brexit and harm the UK.
EXCLUSIVE: Last week, @bylinetimes.bsky.social revealed the George Cottrell identity fraud at Reform UK's heart. Today, we expose how that same fraud links Cottrell and Reform to sanctioned Russian oligarchs and individuals tied to Russian state-linked enterprises bylinetimes.com/2026/07/27/h...
#GMB: "I think everybody will be really surprised to learn that [the private water companies] are still dumping sewage into our gorgeous beaches.. even during the summer months" I don't think we are.

Ah, I had thought that the Tories were jumping on poor journalism from the Times re immigration - in fact the party was the *original source* of the false claims, which the paper neglected to check or clearly attribute. Incompetent, unprofessional, dubious, and xenophobic behaviour all round.
False reports about migrant care workers came from Conservative party 'research' The Times was forced to issue a correction after claiming 12 workers from Cameroon brought 180 dependants to UK
Saw The Odyssey last night and realized there’s another reason the right’s rage furbys are foaming at their mouths over the film. It is deeply antiwar, making an argument that builds incident by incident. Nolan’s sin: making explicit the vicious destructiveness of “heroic” ambition and violence.
New mad conspiracy theory just dropped. (Answers: It's a GCHQ building, and I presume black paint and doors are available at B&Q.)

A very good point as usual from @jamesbowes01.bsky.social The main objective of Mahmood's proposals was always to kick out care workers (as she has more or less said). That was always an economically, politically and morally bankrupt policy. Without it, the whole package falls apart.
Just exempting care workers would be ridiculous. Basically it would be a case of designing a policy to kick out care workers, panicking when you realise how stupid an idea that is, and then kicking out a load of engineers, scientists etc out of sheer stubbornness.

A very good first discussion with @andyburnham.bsky.social. We are both committed to bringing the EU and the UK closer and closer. Together, we will work towards a successful Summit that delivers for our businesses, our young people and our shared security.

Spain v Argentina clearest political contrast at World Cup: democratic left v authoritarian right 3rd: England in centre-left UK 4th: France: centrist President + right PM QFs Norway - centre-left Morocco - monarch + coalition Belgium - right-led coalition Swiss - power-sharing coalition

Obviously the better team won - and a satisfying defeat for cynical bad sportsmanship, dubious refereeing, dodgy politics, and a historic legacy of cheating
