I'm an ex-archaeologist, history lover, RPG gamer, and hobby farmer. I should probably also mention, I'm a freelance TTRPG editor, specializing in translated games.

We watched Backrooms last night. That was... something. Very affecting. Glad we saw it but I left the theater feeling queasy and slightly untethered from reality, both of which took a while to wear off.

I posted this on reddit, but thought I'd share it here too. These are my "Portfolio Shelves". All of the games on the shelves to the right are ones that I have edited/proofread/localized. I'm looking forward to Outgunned: Superheros and Twilight Sword joining the crew.

A picture of my bookshelves with various TTRPGs that I have worked on including The One Ring, Coriolis, Things from the Flood, Household, Memento Mori, Outgunned, Brancalonia, and Trudvang.

TTRPG about me First game: Empire of the Petal Throne (1976, I was 13) Latest game: Shadowdark Longest game: WFRP 1E Favorite game: Impossible to say and varies from day to day Favorite setting: Doskvol from Blades in the Dark Favorite art: Artesia: Adventures in the Known World

The list of games my in-person TTRPG crew will pick from tonight for our next campaign: Warhammer: The Old World Legend in the Mist Fabula Ultima Cloud Empress Twilight Sword Electrum Archive I think that's a pretty good spread of genres/styles/settings.

Weird GaryCon story. My friend Roger and I listened to the "When we were Wizards podcast on our 12 hour drive from Alabama up to Lake Geneva (if you are a TTRPG nerd, well worth a listen). They talk about the first TSR offices outside Gary's house, calling it the "Old Gray House". (continued)

I love everything Mun Kao does, and I think Kala Mandala is an exquisite little gem of a game with a unique SE Asian flavor and very cool dungeon adventures. Check it out if you like non-euro-centric RPGs and interesting OSR-style dungeons. Highly recommended.

*Reposts appreciated” My webstore heycentaur.com is finally up! This took so many months of labour (mostly my partner’s), but it is all ready and running. Physical copies of Kala Mandala are now available, shipping to most of the world.

Join the jam I'm hosting! Create a game or tool to help introduce TTRPGS to peeps. It's a great way to hit the ground at a reasonable pace come new year! And maybe we can bring some new folks into the hobby? itch.io/jam/welcome-...

We've launched a GoFundMe campaign so we can defend our property in the Diamond bankruptcy case. The full story is at the link but basically, Diamond is trying to take consignment inventory that they don't own and sell it to pay big creditors. Had a fun session of Mythic Bastionland last night. We had our first two Knightly deaths, but the company also resolved their first Myth by defeating a stone colossus that had been rampaging through the mountains. This game continues to be so easy to run after some minimal initial prep.
