Currently watching a cohort of presumably young Irish people on Twitter reinventing hipsterism from first principles and basing it around obscure Irish language literature. Good fun. Pitchfork will rise again.

Charli XCX should maybe get some hobbies? Might give her some perspective. If Prince had some hobbies beyond NEW ALBUM NEW DIRECTION NEW LOOK ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT he might have lived. He once talked of going into "studio rehab" and I think he was only half joking.

New upcoming Prince release celebrating his 1996 graphic design skills with some of the worst artwork known to man. Seriously, just put the stuff he *did* release on streaming, nevermind vault tracks.

Oh wow it's almost like politicians have been cynically using 'rural ireland' as cover for shitty politics and should never have been taken at their word about the death/nail in the coffin/last straw/end... Etc of rural Ireland. This will be of no surprise to anybody from a rural area

There is no evidence of an urban-rural divide when it comes to people's level of worry and willingness to take action in response to climate change, a new study from the Economic and Social Reseach Institute (ESRI) has found. jrnl.ie/7059388

Kind of accurate because people come into libraries all the time and go "I want a book for my kid about trampolines cos he's really into trampolines this week" and you do your best to accommodate their incredibly specific demand.

At some point the Enya fans, the My Bloody Valentine fans, and the Smiths fans are going to have to fight it out over which is the most important Irish musical act (loudly contrary edition).
