In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.

Stevens has spent much of her campaign accusing her Arab Muslim opponent of not endorsing Harris when he endorsed her before Stevens did and then just two days ago she called him an antisemite at 10:30pm because he attacked AIPAC, an org with -50 favorability among Democrats.
It's rarely ever said so outright but basically the thesis of the Stevens surrogates as of today is that Arab Americans cannot possibly have any legitimate grievances about someone who is openly and proudly supportive of a country that kills their families lol
