Wrote about this book before & said it wasn't what I expected. That's true. This is a book about people, where football is a character. Jon's tackles things which are taboo for many men - mental health, relationships, grief - and does it with wonderful humanity. Don't be a stranger to it. #lufc

Self-publishing a novel makes me feel vulnerable and exposed and I can't be 100% confident in what I've produced. So comments like these are lovely thesquareball.net/shop/days-of...
