Will they defend the 1st amendment right of the audience members to boo? Or is first amendment right only for bigots? "I disagree with what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it. Also I will defend only you, not others, until it starts to seem like I agree with what you say."

The weather today in Barking Waters, Great Plains is weirdly eldritch. Fog thick enough to swim through with a suffocating humidity that makes breathing a struggle. Simply bonkers. Phone cams can't capture mist and fog well. This is thick, 4 feet in front of me.

A picture of a backyard leading off into a field. Lush verdant vegetation. A thick fog clouds the scene.

The Backwards Knight, chock full of warnings to pay heed to. If you want to know more, you're going to have to source yourself a copy and give it a read. I promise its eldritch horrors won't drive you *too* mad. I think. It may just be your next favorite eldritch fantasy novel. #BookSky

Copy of The Backwards Knight sitting on a faded wooden-planked surface. Various warnings cover the book, reading: "Beware the Ibe Nire", "This book contains lethal levels of snark and sarcasm", "This book contains a very stabby princess", "This book contains content too close to our own darkest timeline", "This book may make you crave fried potatoes", "This book contains Siadakian eldritch horrors."

Knowing a heat wave was coming on, I made 2qts of raspberry shrub on Sunday and just racked it today. Delicious in seltzer or ginger (ale or beer) 1:7. Excellent hydrator and easy to make. 1:1:.25-1 of vinegar, muddled fruit and sweetner (to taste). 3 days in fridge, then strain and rack for mixing.

In a sane world this would be the top story everywhere, on the tips of common people's tongues, talked about at the water cooler. At this point, my Cassandra Complex is screaming. The future they want is not hidden in symbology. www.wired.com/story/leak-e...

Bezos says that concern for human comfort is holding back the techbros in their quest to build AI and reach the endgame. I think its time the billionaires relearn what the term 'human comfort' means. Tax them heavily. If they flee or hide their money, sanction them heavily and destroy their empires.

“This chimeric monstrosity between the technobroligarchy and AI is reminiscent of the alliance between early industrialists and their factory machines. You are just a cog, they used to say. Now you’re not even that. You are the lubricant between the cogs” open.substack.com/pub/georgets...

OMFG. On a phone call with someone trying to show me how to do some admin process for this company (update your own damned stories!) and she is absolutely going to town on a piece of gum about 1 inch from my eardrum and its driving me to distraction.

The GOP is big into AI ads this season, and in OK it's particularly insulting to anyone not under their spell. Complete MAGA, with opposition barely present and most ads directed at other GOP. Sterotyped AI visuals. Schoolyard tactics, no mention of policy. How are they still unchallenged here?

Currently on a rah-rah corporate all-hands and the CEO and CTO are both spouting proAI (hinting at job losses as "lower labor costs") and eagerly talking about the upcoming SpaceX rug pull. The fact it is larger than the entire economy doesn't seem to register. I hate corporate brain.

The thing about this bundle is it gives you more than 20 books, some audio, and helps creators get paid for their hard work. It takes several hundred hours to make a novel. It’s cool when they can pay the rent.
