I've just hit publish on the photos and videos for the last conference in May. It's wonderful to reflect now a few months have passed on what an amazing day it was. I'll look back at the years we ran All Day Hey! with incredibly fond memories.

Earlier this month, we delivered the final All Day Hey! conference, our tenth edition. I’ve been reflecting in the aftermath of the event as people have published their thoughts on the day, about the purpose of events like ours and how their existence is fundamental to our industry.

A sincere thank you to everyone who came to the last edition of All Day Hey! yesterday. There are many things I'd like to say, I'll write a post at some point soon. My heart is full and I'm looking forward to a good nap. The perfect ending to ten years of hosting this wonderful community.

I've written back to my MP in advance of the updated EHRC guidance being laid before Parliament after the election. Now's a good time to write back you your MPs to keep the pressure on to make sure there is democratic oversight over changes to our rights.

Hi Michael and Clive You may have seen that the Minister for Women and Equality has recently received updated guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), and is preparing to lay it in front of Parliament after the election. I will be in touch again when we know what the guidance contains, but until then, please ask Clive for the following: To ask the Minister to ensure the guidance is debated in Parliament Trans people have a right to know what the guidance contains, and to ask their MPs to challenge the guidance when details emerge. There must be democratic oversight if there are material changes to our rights granted to us by the Equality Act if the government wants to regain the trust of the trans community. To ask the Minister to reject the guidance if it does not advise businesses how to make their services inclusive of trans people if they choose to Today, your colleague Tony Vaughn KC (Labour MP for Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh) asked the Minister for her assurances that businesses and groups would be able to offer trans-inclusive services if they want to, free from harassment and discrimination. The Minister reiterated that trans people should not be harassed, but declined to say that trans people should not be discriminated against. Trans people have the right to access goods and services free from harassment and discrimination enshrined in the Equality Act. It would be a grave miscarriage of justice and democracy if the guidance does not show how businesses can lawfully provide inclusive services for trans people, and may be challenged in both the English, Scottish courts and the European Court of Human Rights.
