The job I've been putting off all week with all the deflection jobs, made progress today as my son came and did the worse bit by digging out the compacted soil so I could line it down to ground level. Had slabs on originally but after discovering a rat in it they had to go. So will now be a planter.
But global warming is apparently a hoax...

Watched this tonight and my face aches from smiling so much but also a little sad that I had missed so much of them over the years. I have a very vivid memory of the very first time I saw them on TOTP's. I was too young to watch TOGWT but knew he had slated them but I've always loved mavericks.

Seems not taking Pringle to the vet was the right call. After a day of 'shall I shan't I' and 'is she going to die' if I don't dilemma she's recovering nicely. Even wanted to come on a short walk just now and although she's only eaten a tiny bit of my quiche she has drunk plenty and perked up a lot.
No surprise then that Farage was wasting police time over reporting a T Shirt.
Thought I would watch Avatar Fire and Ash while on dog watch. That was a mistake! Gawd it's bad and I've overdosed on cliches now. Gave up couldn't take anymore.
Given up on doing anything today. Pringle seemed a bit better first thing but been on vom watch all morning. A 20 min vet trip in this heat could be worse for her so seeing how it goes now. At least she's been drinking and kept it down for a few hours now. Thankfully it's still cool in the house.
Oh dear got a sick Indi, don't think it's one of her episodes I didn't notice her having one. She's not had one since Xmas after I totally excluded all gluten. She was having at least one a month before that. Hopefully it will pass so we can get to bed although she's just drunk a load of water 😬

Hurrah! Woke up to actual wet ground at last! No pooling of water in the new mesh sunscreens either. Some rain across most of the UK too so risk of fires will be less thank goodness. 🌧️
Darn it, band of rain just missed us again, felt 5 micro drops coming back from our walk and that was it! 🙄🐫
Phew, glad of a bit of cloud to get proper mesh sunshades up that arrived yesterday, still a bit temporary until I get the wires. The advantage being that they won't collect rain (if we ever get any) and they won't blow about like crazy as they allow air flow & once wired easy to open and close.
Almost finished, just got the little shelf to go in the middle when the glue is dried and oiled to match the grey. Still can't decide on whether to add some stencils on the top and corner bit. I'm a bit averse to twee but it does look a bit plain, maybe ok when it's up and stuff on it.
