If you’re new to wearing prescribed glasses, please get something other than black frames. 👓 Otherwise I’ll assume you’re wearing pervert glasses.

Ralph Carr is now in the find out part of FAFO. Enjoy the spotlight, Ralph! (I'm not linking any news articles to this.)
The Bloke is interstate tonight, so yes, I can have homemade pizza two nights in a row.
Whadya mean you don’t lick your finger and pick up the fallen sesame seeds on your plate? That’s the best part of a crunchy, seeded roll.
Something I learned today. There is a right and a wrong way to use a zipper foot.😬
I’m in the studio today, doing some bag making. It’s been so long since I made one that I’ve forgotten some of the techniques. Internal zippered pockets being one of them. But it’s coming together and may inspire me to make more time for sewing (& spend less time doom scrolling.)
It’s so wet outside at the moment. The green waste bin wheels got bogged on the nature strip and I fear a sinkhole is about to open up on our cross over. I’m yet to check for flooding in the garage. #melbourneweather
I left my phone in the office and sat in the kitchen for the alert test. I completely forgot about the truck phone charging in the kitchen and nearly jumped out of my skin! But it was short lived, so I’m ok!👍
Our elderly cat screams to be let outside,to drink from an old plant saucer full of dirty water. She doesn’t use a polite meow. She uses an anguished yowl that brings us running into the room. She does it at 4.30am. Today, I moved the saucer from its usual spot. She has fresh water inside.
James Görgen finds three absences in the Stanford "We Must Act Now" letter: those responsible for AI's risks, the Global South, and the governance race already underway — from Washington's executive orders to China's new WAICO.
The World Must Decide How to Govern AI While the Decision Is Still Ours
James Görgen writes that AI governance requires deciding who appropriates the value the technology generates and who bears the cost of what it destroys.

The Bloke woke up this morning with half of his face swollen, due to a tooth infection. I wish he would speak up at the 1st instance of pain because I have many remedies I could have offered. He’s taken himself to the doctor now but he’ll need a dentist next week. 😩
We were recently overcharged x 8 by a bin company we’ve been using for years. Lodged a dispute. Declined. Re-lodged & followed up with phone calls. Our account was suspended. Rang again. Received a groveling apology yesterday that the fault was theirs & the charge redacted. Let me guess, AI usage?
Here's my story from Pine Gap. "The fight to end the US military occupation of Australia (and the entire world)" It's a photo-essay this time because I took a tonne of pics, the country being this stunning, to help convey the Arrernte's struggle.

I booted up my old laptop last night to look at some photos and today I've wasted most of my day playing Bejewelled and Solitaire.🙄
12/ If we can provide all this for America & foreign investors, why can't we provide it for our own people and why are so many Aborigines homeless in their own unceded country & under constant attack. The political arrogance inherited from the settlers keep us in chains. AU needs to decolonise.
I just saw 774 ABC Melbourne revealing that the caller “John” who rang in, having not eaten for a while, was actually someone called Warren. It turns out, it’s Wazza from Melbourne, a lovely soul that I interacted with on Twitter/X. We would chat about local issues, politics and mental health.
Well, that was a whole lot of my time wasted and now I’m cold from sitting too long.😡
I had a lovely day in Wodonga yesterday and enjoyed the time away from my computer. But today I have returned to the soul destroying task of holding a corporation to account. I will not be bullied into paying for a service we DID NOT use.

My youngest child walked away from the cosplay community this year (for various reasons) & threw everything in a big box to get it out of site. I finally got around to reorganising her studio space to be more useable & to store everything in one spot. Not that she has any intention to craft again.
I was midway through putting the toppings on the pizza when the power tripped. Guess what caused it? The bench top pizza oven, which we’ve had for over 10 years. It looks like tea will be later than usual tonight. It’s a good thing I bought wine.
It's the middle of winter and I'm currently drinking a mango passionfruit coconut smoothie. The brain freeze from the frozen mango is not great.
Whilst wandering around the op-shop today, a young woman was browsing whilst listening to an audiobook. The narrator was American & the book was possibly a trashy romance. I was tempted to ask if she knew that headphones were available to purchase cheaply, but decided to ignore it. Is this a thing?
The Bloke was heading to Gippsland to pick up a thing, so I went along for the drive to look at the lovely green landscape. Unfortunately, my feet were aching so badly after standing all day yesterday,I declined the offer of lunch out, in favour of a reheated pastie & my calf massager. #CheapDate
