Comic Artist/Illustrator I make the Paranormal Mystery webcomic "Tip The Ferrymen" which you can read here!: https://tiptheferrymen.com/ Ace/Gay | Trans Dude | He/Him | 20s https://ko-fi.com/jpinesart

It’s funny knowing how much discourse Steven Universe caused and then finally watching it and basically every episode ending with a character going “ah gosh, I hurt someone’s feelings and I feel bad about it. It’s important to apologize to someone you hurt” because it’s still ultimately a kid’s show

I will add pressure to this by saying that any company that claims to not hold onto your personal data after verifying you? They're lying. Ive been nitro free since the first time they tried this, voice how you feel with your wallet people. Make them really feel that squeeze.

Your peers and friends are your greatest strength in comics and instead of trying to climb the totem pole - be real. Literally all you need to do is be real and people will care. People aren't numbers, they are creatives with their own visions and dreams, like you!

When folks wonder about how to make meaningful connections in comics and don't know where to start: you have to engage with others and actually talk about them and their work first. Don't expect ppl to flock to you even if your work kicks ass. Connections are a 2 way street!

I was reading a few articles about how the shade created by solar farms is proving incredibly conducive to grazing livestock who use it for breaks and also reduce the wear and tear by naturally trimming the vegetation growing beneath them. It's producing surprising knock-on benefits for farmers.

Have you seen any reporting on how solar power generation in the USA is 5 times higher than it was in 2020 in mainstream outlets? If not, why do you think this is not being widely covered the same way other large technological changes are?

"I already boycott The New York Times/don't have a subscription, what can I do?" A lot! You can: * Share our call for boycott. Tell others about the NYT's role in trans genocide * Stop sharing NYT links, even to dunk on them * Pressure the pension/retirement funds invested in the NYT to divest

"If trans people want a boycott of The New York Times, where's the call to do so?" Here is a declaration laying out how the NYT is a key driver of trans genocide, why boycotts work and why anyone who gives a damn about trans lives and rights must boycott The New York Times.
