First watch for Run Lola Run. Mainline 90s energy that still works perfectly without being trapped by its cultural timeframe.

If the Amazon Bond bombs conceptually and creatively we’ll always have a sixty year run and I’m fine with that.
There will be a “now that I know all this new stuff about how this went down” temptation to rewatch The Heretic after this is over and that simply cannot happen. So there’s no misinterpretation this being the interweb, nothing but respect for Boorman. Been looking forward to this one.
BOORMAN AND THE DEVIL (2025) — 8:00 pm ET — 1h 52m (TCM Premiere) (Films on Film) John Boorman, Louise Fletcher, Linda Blair; directed by David Kittredge Cast and filmmakers look back at Boorman's "Exorcist II: The Heretic" and its spectacular failure that nearly ended his career. #TCM #TCMParty
Caught Resident Evil in the theater over the past week as well. Had a good time. First watches for the Schrader/Harlin Exorcist prequels on back to back nights. Not the worst but a metric ton of mediocrity between them. #LastFourWatched @letterboxd.social
Showing tonight at 8:00 on TCM. Looking forward to this one.
Watch the trailer for BOORMAN AND THE DEVIL, exploring the making of the infamous sequel EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC.
Tonight on TCM is a Joe Dante triple feature starting off with the wonderful Matinee. There’s a wonderful scene where John Goodman’s character describes the magic of going to the movies. A heartfelt tribute to film and B movies. Followed by The ‘Burbs and The Howling.
The leaked script has an opening scene recreation of Renee Good’s murder by ICE. She’s described as a “fat blue hair.” The script has a bullet entering below her (specifically pointed out) Covid mask and another to her head above (same) her mask.
Harvey Keitel, Danny Trejo and Henry Thomas Lead Ben Shapiro's Pro-ICE ‘Pawn Shop’ — World of Reel
Ben Shapiro is at it again in his quest to conquer cinema. The Daily Wire's next film has started production in Montana, and if the goal was to grab headlines , mission accomplished.

I thought the credits to The Living Dead Girl looked familiar.
Never say failure doesn’t pay. If you’re already filthy rich.
David Zaslav bids farewell to industry he helped destroy
Alan Scott’s Green Lantern costume shouldn’t work with that color scheme. But I love it. Okay Lanterns season finale, let’s see what ya got.
Finishing off some creamy grilled chicken cheese tortellini soup with roasted butternut squash and Swiss chard. Y’all have a good one. Hopeful that Lanterns sticks the landing tonight.
Drove up to Boone for lunch and Resident Evil with the daughter and son today. Had a fun time with some good scares and plenty of laughs.
Aho scoring the first goal ten or so seconds in getting the Canes off to a good start.
First watch of James Cagney as Lon Chaney in The Man of a Thousand Faces. Had it recorded for awhile so the Halloween season seems a good time to give it a run.
Just rewatched Ginger Snaps a couple weeks ago. Always a good time. Excellent piece worth checking out.
In John Fawcett and Karen Walton’s coming-of-age horror masterpiece Ginger Snaps, when Emily Perkins’ Brigitte notices that her sister Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) is exhibiting some odd behavior of the lycan variety, she exclaims, “Something's wrong with you. More than you being just… female.”…
Canes opening the NHL season. Tonight’s horror watch after. Feeling like something comfortable and familiar and tonight that might be The Lost Boys.

Tonight I learned that besides being a great looking movie, Lucio Fulci’s Don’t Torture A Duckling has one of the best deaths ever. Fulci at his best. Give it a watch.
Batch of chili in the big chicken fry skillet and corn bread muffins. Two bourbons in.
Love this weather. Slight breeze. Cool temps after the muggy southern heat of summer. Hope you’re having the day you need.
King Kirby and Doctor Bedlam would like to have a word…
Hey comics artists: a new all-timer character design just dropped.
Junkfood Cinema covering Andy Sedaris’ Hard Ticket To Hawaii? Hell. Yeah. Movie is insanely fun. Definitely getting a rewatch in this weekend to get my mind right for the discussion.
It’s time, it’s FINALLY time!!! Brian & @crobertcargill.bsky.social punch their HARD TICKET TO HAWAII and say aloha to love…also drug lords, “blowup” dolls, razor frisbees, killer snakes, & much MUCH more! RsKT now to make your feed paradise all the time! www.spreaker.com/episode/hard...
Horror a day rolls on with first watches for Retribution and Thesis. Highly recommend Thesis if you’ve never seen it. #LastFourWatched @letterboxd.social
Peter David would’ve been 70 today. Gone too soon. A man who was a true gift.
Reread Robert E. Howard’s Pigeons From Hell today working my way through his horror short stories Man could pull you into the inky darkness of his imagination.
