As I've said, it is *incredibly* optimistic to think we're even going to have any more elections, meaningful ones anyway. We're all still sort of locked into the kind of thinking bred into us by an extended period of relatively stable liberal democracy & not properly processing what's happening.

Maybe even bigger and more important than "we're going to do a bunch of things you oppose" is "We're also going to block all of the significant policies you want and increasingly need," a goal they're granted essentially a blank check by entrenched interests to pursue.

If they really wanted Universal Healthcare they’d expand the ACA, instead of insisting on repealing and replacing it.
WOLF GIRL/BLOOD MOON is a great, great, great movie that had the misfortune of appearing at the tail-end of the incredible cinema of the '90s.
