@stevenstrogatz.com I was showing my undergraduates your lovely 1988 Romeo & Juliet differential equations paper. Which is an excellent way of demonstrating novel and enjoyable applications of maths. A possible popular update could changing it to the two protagonists of Heated Rivalry.

The @neuromatch.bsky.social compneuro summer school is excellent. And I recommend it to anyone interested in maths, neuroscience, modelling and/or machine learning.

@dublinmaker.bsky.social is a phenomenal free family event. Where else can you meet knitters, weavers, zine makers, robots and a middle aged mathematician (me) showing face recognition algorithms. I’ve all my regalia ready come along so some sketching, lean some maths get your own eigenface.
