"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take

I asked Kevin Gausman about looking around the ballpark before coming off the mound when his outing was done. Was it intentional? Potentially one last look? "I don't know. I kinda blacked out, honestly. I don't remember what I said out there, what I did." #Bluejays
These are so beautiful I can't stop looking at them. I loved The Odyssey and I'm enjoying the discourse about it and the critique by @emilyrcwilson.bsky.social but these make me pause for a moment. Sublime!
Sipping my coffee ☕️ and thinking about these marvellous Minoan cups! They look so modern it’s incredible to think they were made by Bronze Age potters some 3,800 years ago! Heraklion Archaeological Museum, Crete. 📷 by me #Archaeology

I'm not letting AI horseshit maneuver me into a defensive position with my writing. I write like I write. I love emdashes. I keep using emdashes. Whatever we write, AI will take and copy it -- all you can do is keep writing the best shit you can write in the form you want it to take, and fuck it.
Authors and journalists are doing more first-person (hello 2010s blogging) and embracing "mistakes" in writing to prove they're not chatbots. There's even an “anti-Grammarly" app that leaves in typos and signs off "sent from my iPhone" to create more authenticity: www.wired.com/story/more-t...
Got rained out at softball. Drenched. Upside: got an Aussie pie and devoured it like a cannibal by the side of the road waiting for the bus. Top-notch experience.
Have you listened to the new episode of Deep Left Field yet? A tearful Kevin Gausman joins me to talk about what's gone wrong with #Bluejays this season and the fact that he is likely to be shipped out by the Aug3 deadline. He doesn't want to leave, though.

Sunday doodling: Izzy Bar-Dust, a character I just made up by doodling on the back of a meal planning list. Inspired by X-Men 97 (excellent) and the universal existence of total morons. What if Cable was a huge dummy?
I guess I'm kinda lucky I got to learn how to use Docker. I'm always surprised to learn about devs who don't know about it. It's incredibly useful for switching between projects and not destroying your local setup with a million python versions for example
Incredible! Feels straight out of a @greatdismal.bsky.social novel
When kids today complain about videogames I think back to the Turnin’ Turbo Dashboard I got in the 80s and how utterly magical it was. Then I yell at a cloud before turning to dust and bones. Anyway I’m 48 now and I’ve got another one.
This is indeed a great type of experience. I've done it in London and have great memories and of course ditto for mtl
underrated nice thing about summer in the city is walking everywhere; met a friend for drinks in Chelsea this evening and it was a two and a half hour round trip on foot, had a great time, made me feel like a hobbit visiting the next village along
Imagine the kind of expansive life you could lead, all the sharing you could do, all the joy you could spread with virtually unlimited resources, and instead choose to be miserable and small and hoard your resources and make people’s lives worse. What a sad existence
Musk insisting storebought tomatoes are better than homegrown tomatoes is the most perfect distillation of how ignorant he is of daily human life and the small joys therein.
Corbin Carroll’s 55 triples tie Starling Marte and Mike Trout for most among active players. It was Carroll’s 587th game — the other 2 have played 1,500+ games Only other player in MLB history with 55+ triples & 85+ HR thru 587 games, like Carroll: Lou Gehrig
Easiest to pick who you definitely don't want trying to kill you. Jolly Green Giant, Kool aid Man, Chester Cheetah, and Mr peanut all seem like unstoppable juggernauts so you need them on your side

Need to keep finding weird, even zany web examples. Need a feed for just that!
Losing 10th softball game this season strings! We're just not catching many breaks! Doing a good job catching balls though! Hitting could use some work! Alas!
Really enjoying redesigning my personal site. Really going all out on some truly garish looks here, just having a blast with it 🎨🌈🖍️🦚
Can anyone give me a bunch of examples of maximalist websites that still rely mostly on CSS and HTML? Wanna see what the craziest stuff out there is currently. Textures, patterns, multiple backgrounds, transformations, you name it. Far out stuff if you get my drift!
This is kind of an incredible website: Why your stuff stopped lasting, who profited, and what's still built right.

Gillian Anderson has officially revealed the upcoming 1,478-piece LEGO set for THE X-FILES. The set is centered on Mulder’s office, paired with a forest clearing scene and a hovering UFO. Includes 8 minifigures, featuring Mulder, Scully, The Flukeman & more. August 4.
This is crazy that someone would talk to the creator of something they ostensibly love like that. Insane!
What am I doing with my life?
Working on a new site theme because I listened to some wutang clan while my coffee percolated ⚔️🙌 Fun stuff. Once again @codepen.io is the GOAT for rapid prototypes and designing in the browser.
