An early C16th Tudor bestiary, carved at the very year the world was pivoting. In 1534, as Henry VIII became Supreme Head of the Church of England, beasts, foliate heads and natural forms danced along the aisles at the Church of the Holy Ghost, Crowcombe in Somerset.
