Getting real sick of slop midwives pleading for a 'respectful discussion' of AI as relates to the arts. Your use of AI to 'make art' is not respectful. It benefits from stolen art, destroys the planet, and does not make you an artist any more than someone driving 26.2 miles is a marathoner.

I am newly annoyed when a simple object like a fan tells me I need to install an app to get access to all the features of the appliance. This could be a button.

These two want to take a stroller ride so bad. But only around the apartment. If I step foot outside, they are upset immediately.

As a knitter who lurks online, I saw this first controversy happen in real time where HGreen released a knitting video that had misinfo & was pretty insulting as well. He kept pitting arts & science as past/future & knitting was this silly hobby but luckily science is here to explain it!

My out of the blue, completely unasked for Buffy take is that Beer Bad isn't as bad as Where the Wild Things Are. Everyone just lets that second one slide by because of the merits of that one scene where Giles sings at the coffee shop.

Sometimes when someone is being really annoying to me, I think "Well, I'm sure someone somewhere really loves this person. ...It's definitely not me, not right now, but by someone else, this person is beloved." That comforts me. Someone out there is balancing out my irritation with this individual.

I've never been part of a household that was asked to do the Nielsen survey, but I got a letter about it a couple weeks back and thought why not. They just sent me $5 in the mail as a thank you, which is very grandma of them, I love it. I will use it well, thank you.

Browsing through the available multimedia at the library and I'm cracking up that like 95% of the Blu-rays available in the King County Library system is anime. Who is the weeb that is ordering them over there? They even have the live action Black Butler movie as a blu-ray.

The amount of C-Suite or just people making important leadership decisions who have trouble with object permanence and simple cause/effect is very upsetting.

I totally recommend pausing your streaming services to take a little break, catch up with your backlog, build your dvd collection, and get used to not having some media at your fingertips. Even picking one of your services and just pausing for a month, it is easy to get used to not missing it.

Any long weekend or break ends up with me completely fucking up my sleep schedule and being overall better rested but on that first day back, not at all.

Oh, I didn't realize Big Walk was by the same studio as Untitled Goose Game. Now I'm VERY interested.

I've been playing Burgie's Cozy Kitchen which is this idler which builds in breaks where a cute little animal comes to the counter and you make a burger for them and this delighted laugh they do when you give them their food is everything.

There is no version of yourself you could become that would satisfy the people who hate you. So you might as well be who you are.

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Honestly, sometimes you learn from someone they don't care about data centers destroying the environment and terrorizing local communities just so they can pull a garbled "reference" photo and you can't unlearn that info about them.

Jimothy's presence is at the fiber festival and yes, I was influenced. (It's a yarn holder to hold your ball of yarn so you can hang it off your wrist and knit.)

My ability to pick seats right under vents remains unmatched. This is a terrible skill I wish I could turn off.

Happy that most of my favorite YouTubers also seem to absolutely detest AI. I watched Chad Chad's most recent one on AI shorts and the AI animated stuff actually makes me ill. I absolutely do not see the appeal. The fact there is apparently also so much generated gore makes it even more disgusting.
