It's been a year or so since I move my personal email / cal over to iCloud+ with custom domains. It's a very fluid experience if you ask me. I still have GMail (historic, and reliable) and... Outlook 😇 (for public OSS stuff, MS accounts, I mostly delete emails from here once I have reviewed them).

I tried to buy a PC laptop for my son for several days. I really wanted to buy another T series Lenovo, but they cannot manage to process payments past the Secure3D step, and the support is horribly incompetent. Bye Lenovo, hello Dell.

I’m going to write a desktop app for my son/classroom. It has to run on windows, but cross platform is better. Going with Electron and some React looks like the easy choice. Any other stack recommendation? Kotlin Compose?

Some @github.com productivity tips with @vivaldi.com 1. Pin important issues 2. Pin the notifications center, and set a periodic reload (like 5 minutes) so you don't have to worry again about GitHub not doing basic reload in 2026 3. Stack related issues + pull-request tabs so they are together

Vivaldi browser and GitHub

Business model of agentic coding: - create "agents" that provide illusion of intelligence using tons of markdown band-aid - market hype of tools replacing smart humans, suggesting spans of engineering / science / businesses are dead - create FOMO so people subscribe - charge tokens, profit.

I'm using the Vivaldi browser for productivity these days. Some of the features like tab periodic reload are a game changer. A good example is the GitHub notifications centers that is not live, doesn't sync deterministically with tabs on issues / PRs: live reload is one of these things. vivaldi.com

Vivaldi Browser | Powerful, Personal and Private web browser

It’s a web browser. But fun. It comes with a bunch of clever features built-in. It’s super flexible and does not track you. Get the Vivaldi browser for desktop, mobile, and your car!

Thanks to you guys I just tried mise and... it's awesome. I was using SDKman through a Fish shell port and it was never on par with zsh (broken completions, etc). mise just... works like a charm!

I’ve been using Apple Keynote since 2003. Best slide software ever. Pixel perfect. The latest update with a premium « AI » boosted subscription nudge is a massive disgrace. WTF did Apple do here???
