I missed my monthly "don't buy a resin printer" meeting with @jumperless.org because I was hand-soldering a 3×2mm WS2811 IC to a flex PCB. If you want a Neopixel with colors other than RGB, turns out you can just make your own by having a long enough manic episode.

Check out my state-of-the-shit-I-had-laying-around vodka-cooled resin curing system. DMs are open, investors.
@settinger.net missed his monthly appointment to tell me not to buy a resin printer so I did. These things friggin' rule (for the kinds of things I tend to make) But I also see why the washing and curing stuff is such a big deal, my tupperware full of vodka and 3 UV flashlights aren't gonna cut it.
not a microcontroller in sight. just chips living in the moment. youtu.be/Hph5X5c54fs

I bought this stop motion armature as a source of ball and socket joints and made a huge mistake by putting it together. It is now a friend so I need to get another one to harvest for linkages.
The ALASKAN BULL WORM! PSRAM Mod kits are in. I was worried about the fit around that flash chip but the vibes-based clearance was so on point you could probably get away with just friction fitting them.
**Refuses to elaborate further (but mostly because I have no idea wtf this thing will actually do yet)**
I love how fabs have such low self-esteem. They'll be like, "hey those silkscreen features are too tiny, our terrible process will turn them into mush" and you say "that's fine, just try your best" and then they fucking nail it every time.

reading jumperless docs, one of the most insane things i have ever seen
It's crazy how much routing it took to make this silly little SMD breakout. Like, it feels wrong somehow.
Son of a bitch, My Pillow guy's selling energy drinks called Rev 7 (the latest Jumperless hardware revision is called V5 Rev 7.)
I forked Viper IDE to fix a few things that bugged me, but of course I had to be super extra about it and make clicking any function bring up the docs, and threw in a little OLED bitmap editor for good measure. So now it's Jumper IDE and it is friggin' rad
Sourdough, motherfuckers! The sudden switch from "hey it's an edible wheat slurry" to "this is the most delicious thing I've ever eaten" must've killed the first like five ancient people to invent bread making.
I am the intermediate mass black hole at the center of the Maker Hardware Workshop globular cluster.
I made a map of 3.4 million Bluesky users - see if you can find yourself! bluesky-map.theo.io I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail
I know I did like, a full-on Doom port a while back, but for some reason playing Snake on top of a running circuit is equally exciting.
@alpenglow.bsky.social got me wondering if it's possible to do an infinity mirror with a 45º bend in it. Turns out it totally is. (There were much easier ways to validate this that don't involve an overnight render)
Woo! The ALASKAN BULL WORM! PSRAM Mod Kits are ordered, and I wrote a whole thing about them in my store. jumperless.myshopify.com/products/ala...
ALASKAN BULL WORM! Jumperless V5 PSRAM Mod Kit
8 megabytes of extra room for activities! Do PCB assembly crimes in the process! The Jumperless V5's RP2350B has 520kB of RAM, which is pretty awesome for a microcontroller. But in the course of scope...

I regret to inform everyone that this bit will continue.
I'm considering making an ALASKAN BULL WORM! mod kit for the Jumperless to give it 8MB of PSRAM for Micropython and a better onboard logic analyzer. Like anything I've released as a kit, it will involve committing some heinous PCB assembly crimes.
Jumperless V5 now has a built-in 1960s wallpaper generator! (It's actually showing the physical paths your connections take through the 12 crossbar switches in the same colors they appear on the breadboard)
These beautiful mfs seriously make the greatest hardware “review” show ever; because they’re not actually reviewing anything, it’s just slice-of-life first few hours with a new dev board and omg I’m terrified.
