The thing about JKR and telling folks not to buy Harry Potter shit is it isn't because we think it can take away her fortune and platform. She's so rich she would still be rich if she never sold another book It is because it is literally the smallest possible hurdle to clear to value trans lives
people react to the reveal of a fictional character being trans as if they were conservative parents finding out their kid is trans lol
This is why JKR is a danger to queer people, and people need to wake up to this sooner rather than later. She is picking fights with human rights groups, because they support the existence of trans people and our human rights.
