That $7.25 an hour minimum wage works out to about $15K a year, so to get to that $40k, you'd need to work 2-2/3 jobs (and that's gross, not after taxes). Considering that this Congress WORKED 88 DAYS this year, they got paid about $1,980 a day. Plus all those other freebies. They're the parasites.

The response when progressive policies that help millions of people are proposed... "How will you pay for it?" The response when the richest 1% ask for tax cuts, or banks ask for bailouts, or defense contractors ask for more contracts... "How much do you need?" It doesn't have to be this way.

It's been awhile since I've tried to use the little sign language I know, but I still remember the power of connecting when I used ASL at work and it wasn't expected. It's such a beautiful thing when someone feels understood. #SignLanguage

Here's how we get Medicare for All done: Make Medicare whole (no one can keep all the parts straight!) Include vision, dental, and hearing. Begin extending to more people, starting with children. We arrive at Medicare for All, which means great Medicare for everyone.
