Banquet for Fools may be the best-looking title to release in the past two decades. Every frame of this fucking game makes me sigh out of a wistful sense of homesickness. It's just a dream to look at.

Thief classes in RPGs always feel like they're missing out on the core concept that makes thieves so exciting in fiction. But I also don't know how one would even begin to try and incorporate them more faithfully into an existing title without more or less making it a separate game mode.

Forever thinking about the time I was doing IT for a sushi place where the staff had a policy to greet each other in Japanese The lead chef, super cholo of a dude, walked in and yelled "ohayo gozaimasu, CABRONES" & I swear to fuck I developed some sort of muscle damage from holding in the yuks

I've been using the same paladin affinity sword with Sacred Blade for literally twenty hours, just pumping stats into it to keep it with me because that move rips ass and has been hard carrying me through some fights. I felt genuine emotional payoff when I finally found an upgrade.

A screenshot from Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin showcasing the equipment info of two swords, sharing mostly comparable stats except for a nearly forty percent jump in paladin job affinity and additional equipment effects on the newer of the two, labeled "Enhancer."

"Ball and gun gamer" is proof as if it was ever necessary that, try as you may to claim to have outgrown it, we all want to bitch and moan about how normies have shit taste and ruin every medium. Call them what you will, the median voter is a fucking moron.

I learned recently that people mad at the label "gun and ball gamer" have taken up trying to make "potion and sword gamer" a thing and I'm sorry but that's awesome my potions and my swords

I don't even care about FFXIV, I think it's a bad game, but it's hard not to enjoy everyone else's excitement whenever Fanfest roll around. I hope your new tank class uses two shields because that would be very funny.

Had a day off that I don't normally get, so I accidentally played ten hours of Stranger of Paradise. That game is a fantastic litmus test for determining if someone actually likes video games. I've got an ear-to-ear grin the whole time while I'm playing it. Easy top three Final Fantasy title.

Some people are surprised the reprint for Delighted Halfling has a sort of ugly face. This is because those people are morons who don't remember what fantasy looked like before the LotR films. My personal favourite example of this phenomenon is Quirion Ranger. Look what they did to my little freak.
