I think at the end of the day this is very bad and the red card was improperly given for sure. The biggest damage being done imo is the trump administration setting the narrative it intervened. FIFA not commenting only muddies the water. We dont know if they started looking before or after this call

You knew Trump would still find a way to ruin the World Cup I'm a beyond-diehard USA fan who thinks Balogun's red card was wrongly given, but this taints everything. I'd rather lose by the rules (which includes bad officiating) than win with rank corruption

imo it should have never been a red card. that said, two wrongs don't make a right. i am disgusted by how the suspension got reversed. very gross corruption.
