We saw The Odyssey yesterday. My brain is still trying to sort out how I feel about it. It is a brilliant piece of art, while also being jarring and timely. Nolan has told this truly timeless tale in a way that is honest to its source material and relevant to where we are today.

Its funny, I thought I was a left leaning centrist dem, but I think healthcare is a right, people should not be left to starve, child care is key to full employment, billionaires should pay a lot in taxes, some access to college should be free. I'm a socialist now?

It is a little frightening that one of the richest men in the world (Musk) has his hands all over the immigrant-related issues currently going on in Northern Ireland. Doesn't he have a rocket to blow up or something?

Clips from Andor keep showing up in my feeds. For me, one of the many lessons from the series is, all opposition is opposition. When fighting tyranny is not the time for purity tests. Accept whatever alliances you can. Win the big battle first so there's enough oxygen to debate what comes next.

The Senate and House Dems (I know, they're out for the Easter Holiday) need to make joint statements TODAY condemning the Trump "Easter" post in the strongest tone possible. I don't know they have the power to DO much, but they need to have a clear voice that this sort of threat it's a war crime.

Fox News: “[Thune] was the engineer behind this. Why are you guys not on the same page and are you not extending the shutdown if you were to accept what the Senate had passed, this could end tonight and the TSA lines would shrink.” Johnson: “I wouldn’t call John Thune the engineer of this.”
