i have just done a multi hour computer escapade in which I replaced my PSU (needlessly as I would learn), reassembled my whole system, and knocked a still unidentified piece of my SSD off (it still works though so we all good) in pursuit of solving an issue that turned out to be a terminal one-liner

update: we drilled out what remained of the nut from the rim with a cobalt holesaw and were able to knock the tire loose. we then chiseled the remainder of the nut out of the threads and rim and now it's good to go again
