Not a strong start already having to make one up (missed out on Girl Scout cookies at the Thin Mint Sprint too 😢), but here we go! 1 down, 11 to go! #cupidsChase5k ♥️

We got power back on Monday night. ⚡️ Since then we’ve been scrambling to get our life back together & return the favors. So grateful for the Graduate in midtown for giving us & a couple cats a place to land. 🙏
Day 8. Still no power along with 25k others in #Nashville. 😭 Grateful to be safe, but so terribly sad about this whole mess.
For folks outside of Nashville, some extra context on our exasperation: where the heck did all this money go if not to the management of the city? Our estimated power restoration date is now 2/8 😭🤬
Safe, but still without power at our home and our neighbors on the west side NES! This feels like an epic failure in public trust and safety.

Hey #nashville us and a couple cats are going to try to make a break for it, I heard there is power closer to town, even in some hotels? We might start with the closest warming station and try to figure it out from there
This has been happening all around us in West Nashville today. The sounds are terrifying. Power out since 5am, layering up for a cold night. Stay safe out there.
Mark Doyle@markdoyle.bsky.social · 7mo agoNashville is coated in a thick sheet of ice. Tree branches are booming as they break and crash and rip down power lines. More rain is falling before a big temperature drop that will, it seems, keep us below freezing for a week. Really shoddy behavior all around, 0/10, would not recommend.
We are concerned with the temp drop that's going to start late this morning. Things may improve for a bit then get worse as winds increase and temps drop. Those with and without power should be thinking about their stay warm plan. Overnight low is 8°.
