As the Ambanis quietly finalized their deal with America First Refining, U.S.-Indian relations appeared to warm. In February, the Trump administration struck a trade deal with India, dramatically lowering tariffs, and also reportedly gave Reliance a license to buy Venezuelan oil. When the Iran war broke out and rocked global energy markets, the U.S. gave India a sanctions waiver to buy Russian crude. (The waiver was later expanded to all countries.) In March, President Trump personally announced Reliance’s deal with the Texas startup on Truth Social, thanking the Ambani company for its “tremendous Investment.” After the announcement, Willding, the Trump Jr. lawyer, shared the news on LinkedIn: “Just so proud to have been part of this one.”Howard Lutnick’s firm Cantor Fitzgerald — which his sons took over when Lutnick became Trump’s commerce secretary — is working as the financial adviser to America First Refining, including on the Ambani investment deal, Cantor Fitzgerald announced. (Cantor Fitzgerald declined to comment.) And the Trump administration played a direct role helping America First Refining find potential foreign investors, according to public comments from the company’s CEO, John Calce. “We have received support from the White House,” he told a local news outlet. The National Energy Dominance Council, led by the interior and energy secretaries, has “helped us with, candidly, introducing us and helping us meet some of these people overseas,” Calce said on an industry podcast.

Jim Crow 2.0 doesn't have poll taxes. They just get rid of polling places to make it much harder for you to vote, and kick you off the voter rolls for 'reasons' without telling you. Voter suppression is racism. If a candidate isn't talking about voting rights, they aren't paying attention.

"Cutting nearly half the places where people can cast a ballot doesn't save democracy money, it costs voters their voice. Tarrant County is home to a significant number of Black and Latino voters and is a majority people-of-color county. There is no question that this plan strips away polling access on a scale that will hit Black and Brown voters hardest. That is not a coincidence. It’s an intentional assault on our ability to make our voices heard and we will push back with every tool available.”

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

This mofo got probation for stepping on kids backs with his full weight, to the point of sending 6th grade kids to the hospital. He ignored when kids were screaming and crying. His ass should be in prison. I hope some of those parents can file a civil suit, since clearly the criminal court DGAF. 😒

Rogers was charged in March 2025 after deputies were called to Lake Region Hospital following an incident at Underwood School in February 2025. A sixth-grade student told investigators that Rogers, who court records indicate weighs more than 350 pounds, stepped on his back with both feet while the student was lying on his stomach during a lockdown drill. Rogers later admitted to stepping on two other students.

it’s horrifying and was preventable. project 2025 shouldn’t be forgotten bc they still move forward everyday with it. as a former 1st grade teacher i can attest that the effects of no HS programs is immense and overwhelming cripples not only the children’s abilities but also the family.

This is horrific. They are deliberately destroying Head Start. I taught in a Head Start program years ago. These programs are so critical for kids and families. Eliminating programs like Head Start is in Project 2025. They told us what they would do, and folks voted for it anyway.😒

The proposed changes would also remove requirements that staff members visit families at home to help navigate problems like shut-off utilities. They would eliminate teaching standards for math, literacy, and social and emotional development — such as self-regulating and responding to emotions, making friends and interacting appropriately with adults. Some requirements providing access for children with disabilities would go away, as well. And the changes would erase requirements for program duration. Typically, Head Start programs run six hours a day, but could instead run for just three hours a day.The administration is also adding some new rules, according to the people familiar with the plan: one requiring that student instruction take place only in English, and another requiring at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day. Leslie Andrews, who has worked as a Head Start teacher in Redmond, Wash., for 25 years, said she worries especially about deleting the requirements to help children get access to health and dental care. “I think at first some experienced teachers might continue to help connect kids to doctors and dentists, but over time that will fade,” she said. “It won’t be done.” “No child is going to do well in school if they don’t have this basic care,” she said, adding, “Removing the tooth-brushing requirement — just why?”
