A friend of mine, Enkidu, has been making his prehistoric 4X for years. Fun fact: before Feudums, I explored a similar idea, but the setting wasn't great for the multiplayer social dynamics I wanted. His game however is single-player - and quite fun. If the setting appeals to you, take a look!
