Anime Expo is a place nerds can be unapologetically weird with nerds, and you realize how important having a space like that is that is when you see the average social media user treat that one “Step on me mommy” ”Ok” interaction as some sort of sodom and gomorrah type unforgivable amoral sin.

I've seen other people notice the same venomous vibes as me, but a lot of them are so openly mysoginistic in pointing it out, I kinda just want to walk away rather than agree with people like that.

Maybe it’s my algorithm but I heard that anime expo had a speed dating event that had mostly guys and no girls But an uncomfortable amount of the responses seem to be people who haven’t grown out of their ‘Let’s bully nerds’ phase chomping at the bit to take a bat to the knees of the guys who went.

It's always interesting to see how far the rabbit hole of "Hoyo games steal things from pop culture and smaller creators" goes. Like, the Trailer theme of one of their early characters (Hu-Tao an occult girl) is basically plagarized from Kaiki's theme (Monogatari, a series about the occult)

When i start a new franchise i don't try to make it to the newest one just to catch up to conversation. I don't skip parts. I just get in and see where it takes me. I'm still in trails of cold steel 2, talking to every NPC every time the date changes. I'm built different, guys.
