So here's my 9/11 take: Us euroids didn't really know how BAD things got culturally in the US until all the TV shows hit our airwaves with that 1y delay. They all suddenly talked about "patriotism" and such values, and even Star Trek of all things would do a "Torture is good, actually"-episode.
