This nearly seven-foot-tall hybrid bat lord, created by artists of the Be'ena'a (Zapotec) civilization, was found at the base of Mexico's Popocatépetl volcano.
With the body of a man and the claws and head of a bat, this towering sculpture has been identified with Tzinacantecuhtli (in Nahuatl), a god associated with both destructive and restorative forces.
Like today, ancient Mesoamerican people associated bats with darkness and the underworld, and bats were believed to be capable of occupying both heavenly and earthly realms.
Most likely made for a public space, monumental images like this one would have held prominent positions in Be'ena'a society.

I finished Rhythm Heaven Groove. TBH it’s the weakest game in the series.. still fun, but probably has the most annoying mini games of the series. Simply pressing A and diagonal buttons isn’t as fun as tapping with a DS Stylus.
