Kara is our newest honours student, working on the Living Boulders project in Yamba on Yaegl Country! 🌊 This project is a collaboration with Living Seawalls and Birrigan Gargle Local Aboriginal Land Council, to improve habitat for marine life and reconnect cultural knowledge with the landscape 🌐🧪

So incredible to see Lavender Bay doing so well, and to be a part of the 3rd birthday BioBlitz with @livingseawalls.bsky.social and Sydney by Kayak! These boulders provide habitat complexity and water retention vital for the critters of the intertidal zone. @sims-australia.bsky.social

Last group photo of the awesome students and educators from the #ANZIC #IODP masterclass. We had a great few days on Heron Island at the #UQ research station learning about reef processes - carbonate produces, geological evolution and oceanography.
