The report analyses the killings of 2,000 ‘solved cases’ of woman-killing where a man has been found guilty of murder or manslaughter; or where not possible, has been identified by a state body as responsible for the woman/women’s deaths.

I watched people sledging in the field across the valley from first light. Starting with 3 people, later 20 or so, now as the light fades, just a handful again. It felt timeless. I live in a house that’s about 250yrs old. Thinking of inhabitants watching sledging in that field over the centuries.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege - as well as a huge source of support - to be part of Woman's Place UK. I valued immensely working with this group of principled women to safeguard women's sex-based rights and protections within a left context which took account of inequalities between women.
