[Jackstay June 18] With her return ticket gone, Altrae had no choice but to return back to the original plan. She made it all the way down, so smile for the camera, victory~! (Going to be busy all day tomorrow, so have this one early. Just like it a lot so the timer looks real nice for the finale)
[Jackstay June 17] Bouncing off the ground, the jackstay threw off the distracted girl before it began rapidly ascending back up. Rushing after it, Altrae's efforts to grab back on are thwarted by her own body, as her legs are too sluggish to swim fast enough and her lungs busy gulping down water.
[Jackstay June 15] After dozens of seconds on empty lungs, Altrae's willpower finally slipped up and her lungs took a long overdue greedy gasp. Gulping down the ocean cooled the resurfaced burn in her chest once again, this time for much longer....
[Jackstay June 10] Perhaps fortunately, Altrae's focus shifted from her dwindling air supply to the fact she wasn't alone. Something huge just brushed past her midriff, forcing a bubbly yelp out of her. At least she won't be alone down here anymore!
[Jackstay June 8] Continuing to exhale the carbon dioxide to ease the burn and the insane pressure, Altrae crosses 100 meters. There is now a shadow below her, maybe the ocean floor at last, or her eyes are just playing tricks on her. Only way to find out is to go deeper.
[Jackstay June 5] Altrae found out that the speed of descent perfectly balanced with the water drag to allow her to float. She's all happy about it, giving you a big smile as she holds onto the jackstay with just one hand. Maybe the ocean floor is at 100 meters? Hopefully...
[Jackstay June 4] Crossing 50 meters, the surface far above is now merely a mirage as the immense water pressure presses down on every inch of her body. But Altrae doesn't need to hear all this, she is a trained professional!
[Jackstay June 3] At +30m depth, water starts blocking most natural sunlight. Fortunately Altrae has exceptional night vision, but even she can't see the bottom at all... yet.
[Jackstay June 2] Now that's a W! Slowing down the descent to let Altrae adjust a little, she's now ready to speed up again. Otherwise it'd take weeks to get all the way down to Atlantis, or even just the ocean floor.
[Jackstay June 1] Dropped like a brick, Altrae is holding on for dear life, descending over 10 meters so fast is no easy feat. With the water pressure rising, the progress will hopefully slow down to something more manageable...
