It is hard to convey how awful it is in the US now. We are attacked, disappeared, murdered by our own government. Our leaders have little regard for human rights, or if they do, are afraid to stand up. We are not blind to the fear and chaos we cause to those outside the US. Sending love and hope.

If you are considering signing up for a research project to share your lived experience, go for it! I joined several & they have given me amazing experiences including speaking at the RCSLT conference & NAPLIC + meeting incredible people raising awareness & improving the lives of people with #DLD.

Thank you, Jo (and @carolinebowen.bsky.social ). Things a bit overwhelming here so I haven’t been sharing this new paper as I should. I am so happy that you find it fascinating. Made my brain hurt to get these thoughts formulated as well as we did…very smart co-authors to thank on that account!

Yes, it does seem sadly quiet. I appreciate your posts! It’s a fascinating paper. I haven’t finished it yet because of all the threads that chime. Many partly formed thoughts, I couldn’t possibly have articulated. Helpful stepping stones! Thanks @karlamcgregor.bsky.social #DevLangDis 🦋

In two hours, I will join friends for a 4th of July celebration. Like so many of us in the U.S., I do so out of a need to join w others who love this country deeply and, at the same time, who are horrified by the ways that our government is trampling on human rights. Have mercy.

I need everyone on Normal People internet to know that American Girl Doll Instagram is doing doll protests today. There are tiny t-shirts and signs. AND THEN I realized it's a joint protest with the Barbie ppl, where there are EVEN TINIER SIGNS.

This was a labour of love and learning for our research team with @sarahmasso.bsky.social leading this work with a cool analysis that helped us as clinical researchers reflect more deeply on culturally responsive practice in paediatric speech-language pathology. Open Access. #bskySPEECHIES
