Thanks to LGBT Youth Scotland for asking me to share a message this Non-Binary Awareness Week.
A few weeks ago, I held a Culture Roundtable with Culture Counts and Artists for Basic Income Scotland that brought together the sector and elected representatives. Thank you to all who attended, and watch this space for a further report on what we discussed and agreed as collective priorities.
Trans people want the same thing as everyone else, to live their lives free from prejudice, discrimination and violence. Instead, this guidance will legitimise intrusive questioning, encourage suspicion and make everyday life less safe. The government should scrap this guidance.
A great weekend of action across Edinburgh! Thanks to everyone who spoke to us about our positive vision for a fairer, greener Edinburgh. On September 3rd, let's demand better - vote Scottish Greens #1 in Southside/Newington and Portobello/Craigmillar.
